中午經過富統牛排館時,被它門前的兩根旗子嚇了一跳,原本以為它推出新的菜色,走近一看,沒想到旗子上寫的是『山東水餃』。這……..牛排館賣水餃……..是賣菲力牛排水餃嘛!!!
富統算是新國際的鄰居,只一街之隔,之前有跟進桑及朋友去吃過幾次,經營形態跟新國際很像,都是屬於『有歷史』的西餐廳,掌廚的是老闆娘,大部份的時間都在廚房裏忙,老闆則負責外場,除與顧客噓寒問暖外,老闆多才多藝,會表演蠻多樂器,例小喇叭、薩克斯風,與顧客互相很好
夫妻倆經營,再請一、二個員工,其實這種經營模式是我很想做的,像新國際因為場子大,相對員工也得請得多,人事費用很高,生意忙的時候OK,但淡季時,玻璃窗都快擦破了,服務人員面面相覷不曉得還有甚麼事能做。所以富統的經營模式,對我而言是進可攻、退可守,只要有顧客進門就是賺!!
不過,今天它賣起水餃來,我就是覺得怪,不是我歧視水餃,而是…….不曉得該怎麼說,像萊茵河餐廳,它也在賣,不過它賣進口的木製古董櫃,一個櫃子售價動輒都是五萬元起,那個感覺就跟萊茵河的style 比較搭;像我最近也在賣,我在賣「愛死克理姆」(Ice Cream),如果我今天賣挫冰,吃完牛排送上一碗公的挫冰,那應該蠻ㄅ一ㄤˋ的吧, 呵呵

My mother and my nience went to your resturant 2 weeks ago(Saturday lunch). They did have not very good experience - they ordered one full set of steak and one for kid meal. The water in my mother cup did have one bud in water. When she told me this, I was asked my mother why you did not mention to the waitor or waitress. She told me they did not have enough experience - sound like they need to have training. BTW, the reason I want to mention this - While I was kid - my mother was taking my brother and me almost twice a week sometime even more. I just want my nience have the same experience as me while my family was really enjoy diing in your resturant. My mother even mention - steak is quite all right but nothing else for their lunch. I am so sad while I hear the feedback from my mother. I was thinking if you could look into these issue. Thank you, SSC
Dear SSC I do apologize for the bad experience your mom and niece went through in my restaurant on Sat noon, since you and your family have experienced good and sweet memory past years and you look forward to transferring those good things to your niece. I can understand your feeling and disappointment caused by our waiter with careless attitude and insufficient training, and I am really really sorry for all those things that you mention in the mail. No reason, no excuse, we made mistakes. Actually, thank you so much for the chance you gave us by this mail for taking care small detail which we regard as routine job. I already past this mail to colleagues and discussed, and I also will talk about this issue seriously with all my staff on this Sat noon. Hi Mark, Thanks so mch for your feedbak! Well, I will take my nience and my mother to your resturant while I go back to Kahosing to recall my youth memory. In fact, I went to Morton's steak house last week for their steak. Wow, I was really enjoying their chef special -Filet Mignon with little bone on the meat which is so tender while I asked for Medimun rare. Their side dish scallops with bacon was excellent while our taste bud could feel the juicy of the scallops.(I live in CA,USA). I really do enjoying tasting all kind of food. One time I went to French Landuray in Napa Valley CA. ,I think they are Okay might be the dish for that day I did not like that much. While I was a kid, both of my parnet worked around 新國際西餐 old location. That is why all my kid memory is in the area. SSC
Our faimly hang out 鹽埕區 for our family dining experience while I was a kid. I saw one of the Taiwan president in your resturant while I was a kid. You might know who I am talking about. Knowing is very hard to keep steak house in Kaohsiung as your resturant price range. Keeping the good work! Best Wish! SSC
Dear SSC Thanks so much for your encouragements. It’s really difficult to carry on business of an old restaurant in south of Taiwan, especially in Kaohsiung. Lots of time,we are struggling for survival of restaurant which was 46 years old. It is like to carry a 46-year-old man on my shoulder and it is hard to walk, even more run. Appreciate all your family’s support for my restaurant, we must cannot keep restaurant going without your back up.
